Candle care
Before Lighting
1. Trim the wick to about 5 mm (1/4 inch) before each burn. This prevents soot and keeps the flame from getting too big.
2. Keep the wax pool clean – remove any dust, matches, or debris.
While Burning
1. Let the wax melt all the way to the edge on the first burn to prevent tunneling (usually 2–4 hours).
2. Burn for 2–4 hours at a time. Avoid burning for more than 4 hours to prevent overheating the wax or container.
3. Keep away from drafts (windows, fans, AC) to ensure an even burn and prevent flickering or smoking.
4. Never leave a candle unattended or burn near anything flammable.
After Extinguishing
1. Use a snuffer or dip the wick in wax to extinguish the flame (instead of blowing it out) to avoid smoke and wick shifting.
2. Recenter the wick if it has moved.
3. Let the candle cool completely before touching or moving it.
